Just like the first gulf war boosted cable news to first tier respect, the effect of the long and expensive presidential campaign has put online news outlets on steriods. The Huffington Post increased its unique readers year-over-year by 448% in October according to an article in Editor & Publisher with the latest numbers from Nielsen Online.
